Urgent Prayer Need
You have probably heard by now about the church bus accident yesterday just outside Meridian, MS. This was the youth group from First Baptist in Shreveport. They were on their way to youth camp in Georgia. The associate pastor of this church is a close friend of mine. His daughter is in critical condition at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She has sustained extremely severe head injuries. Please be praying for Maggie Lee and for her parents, John and Jinny.
There was also a 14 year old boy that died yesterday as a result of this accident. Please pray for his family also. Be praying for the youth minister at this church, Jason, and for the entire church family. They need peace and comfort that only God can provide. And Maggie Lee needs a miracle that only God can perform.
Youth Missions Week
We had an awesome start to our missions week today! 12 students showed up this morning. We begin cleaning up around the house of a lady in our community who really needed some help! We will work at this lady’s house again tomorrow. We also hauled off three loads of limbs from trees that had been trimmed at the Baptist Student Ministry building on the SPC campus.
Tomorrow we will meet at the church at 9:45 in the morning and work till about 2:00 again.
